LATEST RESEARCH UPDATE: A study found that omega-3 fatty acid supplementation can play a role in reducing exercise-induced muscle damage in healthy men. Results showed that daily omega-3 supplementation (total of 3900 mg of fish oil providing 2145 mg EPA and 858 mg DHA) for a period of 4 weeks reduced inflammatory response immediately after eccentric exercise and a decreased creatine kinase activity.
